When you’re building a custom home, you can’t be there for every step. Pacific Home Verification gives homeowners and general contractors an independent set of eyes on site to check the HVAC and related mechanical work before turnover.
Our background spans more than 11 years and over 350 commercial projects in testing, balancing, and commissioning. We bring that experience to custom-home verification in the Portland–Vancouver area, with the same care for what was installed, how it works, and what the records show.
We inspect the home, check how the equipment functions, review the contractor’s startup report and room-by-room air balance, and document what we find — with our own measurements where needed. Where plans or a Manual J are available, we check the installed work against them. The contractor still performs and owns startup and balancing; our role is to give you a clear record of what checked out and what needs attention.

A typical visit
- Site inspection before or at turnover
- Functional checks to verify the installed HVAC operates, including static pressure where it applies
- Review of room-by-room air balance, with our own measurements where needed
- A written verification of the contractor’s startup report, and a punch list
- Blower-door / envelope testing and infrared scanning on request, as a later phase
